A client may wish to have an artwork professionally photographed for reproduction, either in a publication, for record keeping, or to create a replica. For the most convincing replicas a digital photograph can be colour matched to the original work and Giclée printed on canvas, fitted to a stretcher, varnished and framed. This is a secure alternative to hanging an original work in an exposed location, or to allow a painting to be admired in two locations at once. Photography services can be conducted at our Mayfair premises or in situ where the work normally hangs.

In some circumstances clients may wish to have a hand painted copy of a painting. Apelles has a working relationship with several classically trained artists who would be able to undertake such a commission.
